Bouchard, Nugent-Hopkins Light the Lamp in 4-3 Oilers Win

Vancouver Netminder Silovs Stands Tall With 42 Saves in Defeat

EDMONTON, Alberta - The Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks are headed to a winner-take-all Game 7 after the Oilers pulled out a thrilling 4-3 victory on Saturday night in Game 6 of their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series. Evan Bouchard and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the goals for the Oilers, who needed a win to avoid elimination.

The Canucks were the better team for much of the game, outshooting the Oilers 45-27 and generating more scoring chances. But the Oilers got a big performance from their goaltender, Arturs Silovs, who stopped 21 shots in the third period alone and made a number of key saves in the final minutes of the game.

The Oilers now have a chance to advance to the Western Conference Finals with a win in Vancouver on Monday night. The Canucks, meanwhile, will be looking to force a Game 8 at Rogers Arena.
