Boeing Starliner Launch Schedule

ULA Atlas V Rocket and Boeing Starliner Spacecraft Launch Scheduled

Historic Mission to the ISS

The United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket and Boeing Starliner spacecraft are scheduled to launch on Saturday, June 1 at 12:25 p.m. EDT (16:25 GMT) from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This uncrewed flight test will be the first time that the Starliner spacecraft has flown with astronauts aboard, and will mark a significant milestone in NASA's Commercial Crew Program.

Mission Objectives

The primary objective of this mission is to demonstrate the Starliner spacecraft's ability to safely transport astronauts to and from the International Space Station (ISS). The spacecraft will carry a crew of three test pilots, who will conduct a series of tests and evaluations during their stay on the ISS. The mission will also test the Starliner's docking capabilities, as well as its ability to perform a safe return to Earth.

If the mission is successful, it will pave the way for future crewed missions to the ISS using the Starliner spacecraft. NASA has awarded Boeing a contract to fly six crewed missions to the ISS as part of its Commercial Crew Program.

Launch Schedule

The launch schedule for the Atlas V and Starliner spacecraft is as follows:

  • Launch Day: Saturday, June 1, 2023
  • Launch Time: 12:25 p.m. EDT (16:25 GMT)
  • Launch Site: Space Launch Complex 41, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station

The launch can be viewed live on NASA TV and the ULA website.
