Two Rivers police confirm human remains found belong to missing Elijah Vue

Remains found in wooded area near Manitowoc County town

Police continue to investigate circumstances surrounding the death

MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Two Rivers police confirmed Tuesday that human remains found in a wooded area near the city belong to missing 32-year-old Elijah Vue.

The remains were found by a mushroom hunter Sunday afternoon in the town of Cato, about two miles east of Two Rivers. Police say they were able to identify Vue through dental records.

Vue was last seen leaving his Two Rivers home on April 22. His family reported him missing on April 25. Police say there were no signs of foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.

The Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office and the Two Rivers Police Department are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Vue's death.
